Chaleur (2021)

This is a digital piece inspired by a famous scene in the French movie "Portrait of a Girl on Fire". Since watching it when it was released, I fell in love with so many different aspects of the movie. The way the characters are fleshed out, the emotion, the symbolism, the lighting, the music all tied into each other perfectly. Since it is inherently a movie centered around art, I was inspired by this snapshot of one of the first times the two main characters are alone together. The warmth between them and in the actual scene moved me greatly, so I felt compelled to recreate it in my own style of digital artmaking.
